My name is Kayla Faulkner and I am a concept artist, illustrator, and animator specializing in games, film, and other visual media. I am passionate about capturing color, emotion, and narrative. These elements influence my work in the arts.
I am dedicated to amplifying underrepresented stories, experiences, and places within society. My aim is to shed light on critical issues such as biodiversity, climate change, pollution, and impacted environments, with the intention of inspiring action and awareness in others. The primary themes in my work include people, environments, design, science, and animals.
Currently, I am working as a freelance illustrator and animator. I have taken several commissions for virtual YouTubers, and recently I finished a partnered animation with Biosphere II surrounding the impacts of water in a desert riparian area. Something I am passionate about in the art industry and in the world as a whole is being a critical thinker and solving problems for people.
Every art piece that is made is a solution to something.
